The United Church Dorchester

United in faith, united in action

 All about our services

As our name suggests we are a union of two churches and our roots lie in both the Methodist Church and United Reformed Church traditions. However, people from other traditions have also found their home here.

As a Christian community we welcome everyone because God loves all people. We value our diversity.  Whatever our age, background, culture, gender or race, we each have something special to share with others.

We try to provide a programme of work, worship and witness that is family-friendly and embracing of all ages. Our aim is to provide the conditions in which faith can come alive and grow.

A prayer for this month

Gracious God, let the light of your face shine upon us; your peace rule in our hearts and your strength be our song. By the gift of your grace let us take up the cross and follow in the steps of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Amen.
